- Patent Application, Utility Model Application
- Even if the JPO raises office actions unique to Japan, we minimize the risk of differences arising in the scope of rights of your patent application family, as much as possible. Furthermore, in addition to responding to office actions, we will thoroughly explain the arguments used in response to the JPO as much as possible to get your consent. Moreover, we offer smooth applications to the JPO with high-quality and fast translation, taking advantage of our know-how acquired through numerous applications filed in a variety of foreign countries, in various fields. - Design Application
- As technology commoditization has progressed, product design has become an important way to differentiate products. However, because designs are based on the appearance of products, they tend to be easily imitated compared to patents and utility models. We can suggest options for properly protecting your designs, making full use of regulations and practices of designs strategically as much as possible.
- Trademark Application
- There are a number of risks which may result in opportunities to receive IP rights being lost. Such risks include failures to perform a survey prior to filing and as a result paying fees for an application which has no possibility of being accepted, or, due to a survey being based on incorrect decisions, a valid application being erroneously determined to be invalid. We recommend a survey prior to filing so as not to fall at the initial step of establishing a brand.
In particular, if an application under the Madrid Protocol receives a Notification of Provisional Refusal, the opportunity to save the fee would be lost. We can conduct a speedy and high-quality trademark survey to avoid this risk.
Responding to Infringement
Consultation is available if you are accused of infringement of IP rights or if your IP rights are infringed.
